Have a question?
Common questions about participating in the Ankylosing Spondylitis study with Sanguine.
Who is Sanguine Biosciences?
Sanguine Biosciences accelerates medical discoveries by providing high-quality biospecimens for therapeutic and diagnostic research. We use a direct-to-donor model that lets people participate in research from the comfort of their home or a nearby donation center.
Will I be compensated?
Yes. Eligible participants receive an electronic gift card via email. Physical cards are available upon request at no extra cost.
Why do I need to sign an informed consent form?
The informed consent form ensures you understand your rights as a research participant and what to expect from the study before any sample is collected.
Can I withdraw from a study?
Absolutely. You can withdraw at any time, for any reason, without penalty.
What will my samples be used for?
Your de-identified samples and health data help biopharma and academic researchers develop the next generation of therapies and diagnostics for the condition you’re living with.
Is fasting required?
Fasting is not required. We recommend being well-hydrated and eating a meal before your donation.
Will my identity stay private?
Yes. All protected health information is kept confidential and coded. Researchers receive de-identified samples — they cannot be linked back to you.
